ELearning development is gaining in popularity for a number of reasons. Chief among them may be the fact that the process of learning on digital technology is an effective way for employees and pupils alike to receive certain information. However, while this advantage can't be overstated, it is important to keep in mind that there is also quite a bit of financial importance to the use of mobile learning.

For example, eLearning is very good at reducing the amount of paper that a company uses. While not all operations in a business will automatically go paperless the moment that eLearning is instituted, it is a good first place to start. If all training manuals or tests were three pages long and were handed out at a rate of 10 per month to 10 employees each, the number of pages a company would print each year would be around 3600. This adds up to a cost of $1,620 annually.

Additionally, this estimate only reflects the price of paper and toner. What isn't included in such calculations is printer maintenance, copier upkeep or storage for record-keeping purposes. Consequently, any efforts made to reduce costs should be viewed positively, and the return on investment that eLearning will offer to an operational budget should be embraced.
