Changing social demographics can be addressed with digital workplace training

By February 27th, 2012No Comments

In addition to all of the technical details that personnel can be taught with digital training programs, there are some important social and interpersonal issues that custom software development can help to keep smooth. Teamwork is a crucial part of keeping a facility or office at peace and running properly, so the changing social landscape in the United States needs to be taken into account when giving staff members instruction.

According to the University of California, Berkeley, some tremendous demographic shifts have altered the American workforce. In the 1990s, women, African-Americans, Hispanics and Asian-Americans represented 90 percent of the job growth in the United States. This kind of massive growth may lead to some minor and major tensions among groups that didn't traditionally work together, necessitating the need for better social and sensitivity training in the workplace.

Using eLearning applications and other kinds of digital software is very helpful for accomplishing this because it can be seamlessly integrated with traditional types of lessons. It is also a very efficient way to ensure that there is plenty of time during training periods and throughout the workday for important social guidance on technical and material information.
