Simulator development training prepares police to effectively use force

By April 18th, 2012No Comments

The FBI currently does not collect data on the total number of incidents of police officers in the United States who have had to engage in deadly force, but 2009 data reveals that law enforcement had 387 cases of justifiable homicide, which is defined as "the killing of a felon by a law enforcement officer in the line of duty."

Police face many dangers on the job, and custom training simulations can decrease margins of error when it comes to the use of deadly law enforcement tactics.

Simulations that replicate tactical takedown situations can be customized to a variety of situations, from officers practicing force techniques to the simulation resisting arrest and fighting back. Companies can also provide interactive firearms training simulators that can replicate raids, ambushes and hostage negotiation situations.

When it comes to the use of deadly force, there is no margin for error. Training simulations can help police prepare for any real life situation, keeping officers and citizens safer.
